I am a teacher candidate at the UNBC regional campus in Terrace, BC. I am learning a great deal of who I am as a person and as a future educator throughout this learning journey. I feel incredibly lucky to be attaining my post-secondary education in the beautiful Northwest, remaining in my hometown, alongside a cohort of amazing peers.

I was born and raised here in Terrace and am so proud to say that I have completed all of my education thus far locally. I graduated from Caledonia Senior Secondary School in 2018 before beginning my post-secondary educational journey. I attended Coast Mountain College from 2018-2021 to complete my three-year Associate of Arts degree before applying for the education program at UNBC. I am thrilled to be fulfilling the final steps of my Bachelor of Education in the next year and entering the profession hopefully soon after.

When I graduate and get a job…
Mental Health: Entering a profession that is so demanding requires great balance between self care and work. Teachers need to ensure to take the time to do the things they love, eat enough, sleep enough, and connect with the people that they care about.
